October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

There were an estimated 214,000 new cases of breast cancer in 2006 in the US. Around 40,000 will die from it. Breast cancer is the second deadliest cancer in women (behind lung cancer).

My grandfather suffered from Lung Cancer, my grandmother's sister died of breast cancer. It's horrendous to think that two lives were taken from us by these two culprits. That's the main reason why I'm so careful with the food I eat nowadays. It's clear to me that these can be acquired roughly by any of our family member because it is hereditary, oh well i'll just stick to "An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of curing."

Awareness is such a good tool to prevent this dreadful disease. You may post a pink ribbon in your site to support the "Breast Cancer Awareness Month."

Nice post! :)

I really support Breast Cancer Awareness! Women shouldn't be afraid but get involved and do some prevention.
