my only wish

I can't infer at this early, but so far this year has not been good for me. Basta, there have been hordes of undesirable occurence this year sa buhay ko. I'm not bitter but I'm not happy either. I just have one WISH. Sana makapasa na sa Customs Licensure Exams this coming Oct. 9-10 ang dalawang taong malalapit sa buhay ko, si joel at si auntie gina.

This year is auntie gina's 4th attempt while for joel it's the 3rd time around. I am very much aware of the fact on how determined they are. I am a witness to their hardwork and sacrifices.

Beholding at their happy faces would be a very memorable and precious gift I could ever receive this year.

Am i saying goodbye to blogger?

Nah!!!! No, i'm not. It's just that these days it's really a pickle, so i haven't gotten enough nerve to update my blog. I couldn't be more clear(hehe), it's about a skeleton in my closet. As much as I want to put it into writing I just don't think it's helpful. The hint is "i'm in big trouble." Nah! i'm not fighting with anyone. I'm a pacifist.

and sooo....

Sometimes I just don't wanna open my mouth but so hapless that my job requires talking and pretending, like saying you feel "great" even if you feel out of sorts, ouch! That made me think of my previous jobs, wherein talking is an option, if you don't feel like talking, it's much better so as to be more focused on the task and become more productive. Well, I'm just representing the Homo sapiens Family, we just can't stay put and be contented of what we're doing and what we have. We're always up for something new and something better. Like what other's are saying it's another way of improving oneself. Don't just rest on your laurels be on the look to your laurels. That simply means don't be satisfied with your success be careful not to lose your winning position.

"I believe what really happens in history is this: the old man is always wrong; and the young people are always wrong about what is wrong with him. The practical form it takes is this: that, while the old man may stand by some stupid custom, the young man always attacks it with some theory that turns out to be equally stupid." - ILN 6-3-22

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

There were an estimated 214,000 new cases of breast cancer in 2006 in the US. Around 40,000 will die from it. Breast cancer is the second deadliest cancer in women (behind lung cancer).

My grandfather suffered from Lung Cancer, my grandmother's sister died of breast cancer. It's horrendous to think that two lives were taken from us by these two culprits. That's the main reason why I'm so careful with the food I eat nowadays. It's clear to me that these can be acquired roughly by any of our family member because it is hereditary, oh well i'll just stick to "An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of curing."

Awareness is such a good tool to prevent this dreadful disease. You may post a pink ribbon in your site to support the "Breast Cancer Awareness Month."

Not too late

I have to admit that I was never totally aware about the 9/11 thing before (sobrang bago no). I'm still in college that time working on my thesis, I need to step on it kaya yun wala akong alam. All I know is that two commercial planes hit the twin towers and another one in Pentagon.

Before hitting the hay last night, I watched the movie United 93. Actually, it's my second time already, nakikisabay lang ako sa commemoration. Even though 'twas my second time I was in tears as the scenes were really heartbreaking.

While surfing the net late today, a normal thing that a mouse potato do,I found myself searching for actual footage of the plane and the crash site. Dami kong nalaman after 6 years.

These were just the few sites I visited:

A retrofit of my tenets

We mold our own destiny.
Life is just a matter of choice.

These were the tenets that I keep holding on to ever since. I can say that these two influenced my prejudice and my perception on things and events that transpire everyday in my life and to the people that surrounds me. Now that I'm learning so much about life, I made a lot of realizations. Although for our experienced fellow this would seem banal, I'm glad I prove it myself.

I have realized that life is not just a matter of choice, although we have a share in molding our destiny, everything was carefully planned by HIM. And that, things don't happen by accident or by chance. And that, no matter how much we strive hard to reach our goal, if we're not destined, then things wouldn't go our way. That's that.

It is yet for me to unleash the remaining days of my life. The future, my destiny is still unseen. Hopefully i'll have a bright future ahead.^^
