on britney: falling pop princess?

i'm no britney fan...but I sing her song...hehe...what happened to her right now is utterly outrageous. At times I can't help but hate the media, the culprit of it all. Why people start to hate Britney? It's because the media bombarded her with extremely negative write-ups. We are no longer up for her music but to her personal life because the media is sensationalizing everything.

Good thing her new album is hitting the billboard.

Birthday characteristics

Look up and see what you are...........

If you are a Dog : A very loyal and sweet person.Your loyalty can never be doubted. You are quite honest and sincere when it comes to your attitude towards working. You are a very simple person, indeed. Absolutely hassle free, humble and down-to-earth!! That explains the reason why your friends cling on to you! You have a good taste for clothes. If your wardrobe is not updated with what is trendy, you sure are depressed. Popular and easy-going. You have a little group of dignified friends, all of them being quality-personified.

If you are a Mouse : Always up to some sort of a mischief! The mischievous gleam in your eyes is what makes you so cute and attractive to everyone. You are an extremely fun-to-be-with kind of person. No wonder, people seek for your company and look forward to include you for all get-togethers. However, you are sensitive, which is a drawback. People need to select their words while talking to you. If someone tries to fiddle around and play with words while dealing with you, it is enough to invite your wrath. God bless the person then!

If you are a Lion: Quite contradictory to your name, you are a peace loving person. You best try to avoid a situation wherein you are required to fight. An outdoor person, you dislike sitting at one place for a long duration. You are a born leader, and have it in you how to tactfully derive work from people. You love being loved, and when you receive your share of limelight from someone, you are all theirs!!!! Well, well... hence some people could even take an advantage, flatter you to the maximum and get their work done. So be careful.....

If you are a Cat : An extremely lovable, adorable person, sometimes shy, with a passion for quick wit. At times, you prefer quietness. You love exploring various things and going into depth of each thing. Under normal circumstances you're cool, when given a reason to, you are like a volcano waiting to erupt. You're a fashion bird. People look forward to you as an icon associated with fashion. Basically, you mingle along freely but don't like talking much to strangers. People feel very easy in your company. You observe care in choosing your friends.

If you are a Turtle : You are near to perfect and nice at heart. The examples of your kindness are always circulated in groups of people. You, too, love peace. You wouldn't like to retaliate even to a person who is in the wrong. You are loved due to this. You do not wish to talk behind one's back. People love the way you always treat them. You can give, give and give love, and the best part is that you do not expect it back in return. You are generous enough.Seeing things in a practical light is what remains the best trait of you guys.

If you are a Dove : You symbolize a very happy-go-lucky approach in life.Whatever the surroundings may be, grim or cheerful, you remain unaffected. In fact, you spread cheer wherever you go. You are the leader of your group of friends and good at consoling people in their times of need. You dislike hypocrisy and tend to shirk away from hypocrites. They can never be in your good books, no matter what. You are very methodical and organized in your work. No amount of mess, hence, can ever encompass you. Beware, it is easy for you to fall in love.... ?

If you are a Panther : You are mysterious. You are someone who can handle pressure with ease, and can handle any atmosphere without going berserk. You can be mean at times, and love to gossip with your selected group.Very prim and proper. You like all situations and things to be in the way you desire, which, sometimes is not possible. As a result, you may lose out in some relationships. But otherwise, you love to help people out from difficult and tight spots when they really need you.

If you are a Monkey : Very impatient and hyper!!! You want things to be done as quick as possible. At heart, you are quite simple and love if you are the center of attraction. That way, you people are unique. You would like to keep yourself safe from all the angles. Shall your name be dragged or featured in any sort of a controversy, you then go all panicky. Therefore, you take your precautions from the very beginning. When you foresee anything wrong, your sixth sense is what saves you from falling in traps. Quite a money minded bunch you people are!!

half-dead soul

A friend of mine forwarded this to me from friendster bulletin board. This is utterly hearbreaking and at the same time eye opener to the readers. I posted this without any permission from the writer (sana ok lang po kay Sir Carlo Cruz)hopeful that this would enlighten everyone. Please say a little prayer as the author requested.

In case you have not read this yet, please read and be inspired. He is the husband of a woman who died in the Glorietta blast.

Subject: From Carlo Cruz

Good day everyone,

I wish I were writing under different circumstances.

I would like to inform you that my wife Leslie Cruz was part of the casualties in the
Glorietta 2 Mall bombing in Makati City, Philippines. She was supposed to have a minor out patient surgery at Makati Medical Center at 2:30pm.

I had taken a leave from work to accompany her there. We dropped off our daughter, Amber, at my parents place in QC to babysit at around 10am. We then proceeded to Makati and was there at 12:30pm. Since she had been fasting in preparation for her procedure, she wanted to move around and listen to some music while I grabbed a bite to eat. We parked at the basement of Park Square 2, and headed for the Glorietta 2 entrance. We parted at the top of the escalator, she turned right towards Filbar's while I went left towards the restaurants. That was the last time I would see her.

Around 120pm, she had called me so that we can meet at the Glorietta 2 exit just in time to make her appointment. As I made my way there from Glorietta 1 through the connecting hallways, and was about to turn the corner, I heard 2 deep thumps and the shock-wave from the blast hit me. At that moment my heart dropped as I knew that the origin of the blast came from the same place where we were supposed to meet. I tried getting to where my wife was, but the dust was too much and it was as if I was staring at a white wall.

I still tried to convince myself that she was able to make it out, and that after ringing her mobile without a response only meant that she dropped it in the confusion. After 6 hours of searching from Makati Med. to Ospital ng Makati, the blast site, and back again to MMC - with the help of all the people I could get hold of, that I was able to get confirmation in what the state of my wife was.

My Dad and Uncle signaled me in from the ER of MMC. My Uncle (who's a doctor) asked me to describe Leslie's appearance to another group of doctors. I saw in the eyes of one that the description made sense. Instead of confirming it to me, they huddled together, then brought me to a small examination room. It was only through a digital camera that I was able to confirm (and deny) that she was indeed gone.

I have so many regrets. I should have met her sooner. I should have ran instead of a brisk walk. I should have not chose to park where I did. I should have braved the dust and went in the blast site. I should have ...

Today's the 4th day. It is still terribly difficult to breathe, let alone wake up realizing that your source of strength, your best friend doesn't lie beside you on your bed. That my deepest worry is when Amber starts asking for her Mama.

I am glad that Amber's too young to understand the loss and pain. In time I would like to tell her the details of how her mother died, but more importantly I would like to raise her as how her mother lived - a loving person, strong willed, decisive, caring, and nurturing. She has always cared for her family and friends, and sacrificed her career for being a full time mom and home maker.

As with all couples we had our ups and downs - none of which I regret not going through. The sweet is never as sweet without the sour. For almost 4 years of marriage, we've finally hit our balance in life only to be taken away in an instant. I have no regrets about our marriage. She has loved me and Amber beyond her capacity. I will always love her.

It is my first time to write to egroup as I've lurked and watched emails being sent to and fro. All I want now is that for each of the couples here is to cherish each moment that we spend with our loved ones. Pretty simple to say, very easy to take for granted.

Thank you all for the prayers. I would still like to ask you to please include Leslie in them until her 40th day so that the path to God's kingdom is well lit and she is no longer in the dark.

Sincerely,

Carlo Cruz

kikay's kilay

I have to confess that before i'm not really particular with the shape of my eyebrow. I trim my eyebrows perfectly to a curve shape...LOL...Basta magmukhang malinis lang cya at pacurve ang shape oks na. I don't have any idea that there is an appropriate eyebrow shape for certain facial type. Look at the picture on the left side. It's very thin and plain curve. And on the right side, it's arched type and defined. Actually i have pale eyebrow, so i just use eye pencil to make it darker.

My concern about eyebrow trimming arose through the "pakikialam" of a good friend of mine, Monet. She's commenting on the shape of my eyebrow. And later on, I was a little bit conscious na. I became observant of other women's eyebrow. Through her help, i know how to trim na these days. Thanks to Monet.

In the past, the first thing I look at in a woman is the nail. But now, i am more particular with the eyebrow na. I admire those women who have a perfect eyebrow.

Here are some eyebrow shapes to help you out in trimming.

I remember sa "At home ka dito" with charlene Gonzales in Channel 2, they tackled this issue already. Sana napanood nyo.

this calls for a celebration!

At last, hardwork pays off talaga. Finally, my boyfriend made it! He passed the Customs Broker Licensure Examination given last Oct. 9-10. He really deserves it. I know how much he sacrificed and he's a good person. The result was released just today in Philippine star. God answered our prayer.

But on the other side, Auntie Gina didn't make it. Well, we know that God has reasons for everything that transpires in our everyday lives. And my aunt is already successful in different way, so this is not a major fiasco at all. The good thing is that after four failed attempts she still wanna take the exam next year. Truly, failure is not a hindrance to go on dreaming.

a gift to be treasured

I'd like to extend my appreciation to jazzy who shared an award to me recently. It's indeed heartwarming when people showed admiration to an effort crafted by your hands. And it feels good to find and meet people in the meat space who showed genuine interest and offered candid friendship. The thought of sharing out ideas and inspiring each other are utterly overwhelming.

There have been tremendous numbers of blogs which continuously strengthened my faith, have shared valuable infos and tackled issues of life, which come as an aid to people whose got question marks at the back of their head and eventually found answers from people who have broken down their walls allowing everyone to mirror their lives. Those people deserves an award. I'm thinking of giving awards din. Ano kaya?

Clear my path,
Light my path,
Show me the right path,
Let me be in the right path.

Clinging onto you,
Hope you never fail me.

dream big!

Tonight I wanna share about a dream that has long captured my imagination sunup and sundown. Let me introduce my dream car. I just can't keep my eyes from looking at Toyota Rav4 whenever they pass by me. It's like my eyes are perfectly glued to it. Can't hide my envy to those who are driving this car. Why I am crazy about it?In my perception, it's feminine, it's cozy and it's classic. Monet and Joel are witnesses to my obsession. I've told them my famous line "Kelan kaya ako makakabili nyan" although it's me who always answers "Pag nanalo ako sa Lotto."

and next.....

This is my dream house. It's not huge. I always thought of living a simple life, so having a mansion has never gotten into my wildest dream. Honestly, I and my boyfriend had arranged a "tripping" to this house early last year. If my memory is working well this is amounting 2.7m. Obviously the price is stiff for us, so we go for the smaller lot. But our contract was later terminated due to some misfortunes. That's apparently the reason why owning a house remains a dream. But no, I'm not in a hurry, besides i'm still single.I'm willing to wait for the right time...^^

No one knows if luck will come knocking at my door one of these days...That would my be my next blog topic...

The future belongs to those
who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
