THE LIFE I HAVE TO FACE

I've always been obstinate and headstrong since childhood. I don't just believe pretty easily on the things that I was told. I'm a highly-opinionated person who completely believed that I'm all over everything. I constantly follow where my prejudice and perception lead me.

I am reminded of a scene in the past where my being stubborn as a child escalated to questioning my mama's familial and household decision. And my mama hates me for that, in fact I can't live a day without she hitting me and pinching me. To date, I still bear the memento of that wonderful experience...a scar on my face. Thanks God it's no longer that visible these days. I'm then drawn back to those flowery lies I uttered to my classmates to escape the humiliation. Though it was to no avail because even in their innocent minds, the scar can tell that it was not my ate's nail but my mama's which landed my face.

Life back then was a piece of cake and laid back. Parents are there to guide us through. If we did wrong, punishment comes next and that's that. They're even are our scapegoat if something goes wrong at school. But now, everything's totally different. I'm all alone...all by myself. My decisions, prejudices and perceptions are crucial. This time around corporal punishment is out of my way but I need to put my thinking cap on before jumping to conclusions. If I make a mess with my life, the consequences is for me to face. Life of becoming independent is arduous.

Gosh!!! After all the time that I put on this blog, finally I'm done! I'm on the top of the world. I've been thinking of fixing my mixed-up blog sunup and sundown.

A WOMAN

Hope you catch last night's episode of Balitang K. They featured my aunt's previous kasambahay, Cherilyn Geraldino. When we first learned that she'll be featured in Balitang K, we were dumbfounded. We couldn't believe our eyes upon seeing her on TV.

If you take a look at her physically you can't even imagine that this woman can actually perform the tasks that we normal people can do. Her hands and leg are not fully developed, she's in dire need of an artificial leg to be able to walk normally. The doctor implied during the physical examination that most probably her mother took medicine at the time of her pregnancy.Though her disability didn't serve as hindrance in living her life normally and comfortably.

She cooks good food, cleans the house, does the dishes, name it. And most of all she can sew curtains. Yes, you read it right. My aunt has a big place, she often asks professionals to design curtains for her, but lately she's complaining of the stiff price, obviously it costs her a lot. After then, ate cherilyn took charge and all I can say is "HANEP." Though fate didn't seem to be good at her, she's undeniably gifted. Unlike the faces that we come accross very often on the streets, begging for alms besides the naked truth of being physically fit, this woman trully humiliated those people.

I AM

You're the time of day right around sunrise, when the sky is still a pale bluish gray. The streets are empty, and the grass and leaves are a little bit sparkly with dew. You are the sound of a few chirpy birds outside the window. You are quiet, peaceful, and contemplative. If you move slowly, it's not because you're lazy – it's because you know there's no reason to rush. You move like a relaxed cat, pausing for deep stretches that make your muscles feel alive. You are long sips of tea or coffee (out of a mug that's held with both hands) that slowly warm your insides just as the sun is brightening the sky.

LOVER'S DAY

I was seating across a woman in the mrt. She was reading a tabloid with the headline "MOTEL UMAPAW" (ganun!). I and my boyfriend are not accustomed to go on a date on this day. So we just leave it kay inday at kay dodong, it's their day (hehe just kidding po). And scoop lng po, in Korea women give chocolates to men on Valentine's Day and on March 14 that's gonna be their White Day, it's the men's turn to give candies and chocolates to their love ones. Too bad Gong Yoo can't receive any chocolate from me. They also have Black Day on April 14where single people gather together and eat noodles with black bean sauce called Jjajangmyeon. Aside from that, another holiday is observe similar to Valentine's Day, it's Pepero Day celebrated every November 11 by young people and couples, who exchange Pepero sticks. O di ba their culture is really colorful.

HELLO AND GOODBYE

I feel so down these days since most of my co-workers are gearing up to leave the company to start a new career. I'm contemplating on going back to the industry that I left. I'm a graduate of Psychology, so i should be working in the HR department. But this requires thorough analysis since it would only mean earning one thin dime. I'm not getting any younger, i guess as early as now i have to settle to a more stable job. The industry where I'm at as of the moment is not what i can consider stable. It's seasonal and momentary. But something is thwarting me from moving on, it's not the friendship that i found neither the laid-back environment but my family (as always). I'm too worried about my career.

MESSED-UP BLOG

i got pissed off while working with html. I long to spend my unwanted holiday by fixing my blog. Why unwanted? It's Korean New Year, we took a break from work since i'm working for a korean firm. No work no pay applies to this kind of holiday and that's what make things excruciating and horrendous. While lamenting for the days of downtime, part of me is rejoicing as it's a great break to work on some unfulfilled task.

Things got so frustrating when i found out that my blog looks hideous when using a different browser like firefox, everything's disheveld, there's no background color and the sidebar is at the bottom of my last post. Thanks to the blogger help group, everything's back to normal.
