BISITA IGLESIA 2008

The sun was up. Now I have grown to hate the radiant rays of the sun. Armed with caps and umbrellas we then started off our yearly family tradition, to set out for Bisita Iglesia. We dropped by in a small church near our place at the first leg then we headed to Alabang all the way to Laguna and ended at Tagaytay. Enduring the sunny offering of that day was a bit of a challenge. Though it's nothing compared to the suffering of our Jesus on the cross. There were throngs of believers we came across on that day. I even bumped into a college classmate of mine in St. Peregrine Church of Muntinlupa. That I consider consolation because the tendency of meeting old friends is possible. At about 6:30 PM we're down to our 13th church in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Alas we can now head to Tagaytay for our last stop. But the gridlock along the way hindered the eagerness painted on our face while it didn't last an hour we arrived there in no time. Wheww! the cool temperature now begun caressing our body as we shivered. A sumptuous dinner at Leslie's restaurant concluded the day.

NO SAFE AIR TO BREATHE

When I stood at the bus stop on my way to Cavite, I sighed in great dismay at the sight of the tremendous number of smoke-belching vehicles along the road. I can't find any reason why these buses and jeepneys are still alive amidst the call for a halt by the government agencies. To be frank, sometimes being a Filipino turns into a dreaded truth as along with that is the adjective INDIFFERENT. Some of us are just born stubborn and egotistical. We are just so lame that we can't even conform to a simple and beneficial statute (what a shame). If only everyone is fully aware of the damage they've done and the damage they'll be creating, then we'll forever enjoy the sweet smell of a lucid air. Do you think Filipinos are left behind with the world's making their move towards clean air?

1. Coffee Prince - Although I'm done watching the drama, I can't help but think about Gong Yoo (hahaha). He drives me crazy. He is so papalicious!
2. My Honey - I'm just so happy that after all the storms and ordeals that we went through we stayed invincible and strong.
3. My Family - Although they're giving me a pain in the neck, they're still the source of my energy and forever my inspiration.
4. Coffee- How many times do I have to mention this (hehe)
5. My TRUE Friends - This is a bit of a cliche but it's true that it's hard to find a true friend. People say hello and goodbye to my life but only a few said hello, goodbye and hello.
6.Lipstick - I can't survive a day without wearing any lipstick.
7. -8 Sunrise and Sunset- To me sunrise symbolizes a promising new day and sunset reminds us that the next day will offer a new hope.
9. Working - it's fun earning money while enjoying the gift of friendship.
10. Getting a good sleep - in my previous job getting a complete sleep was far-fetch. I always stayed up late and got off from bed early, 'twas a sacrifice to combat sleep in an early hour in the morning. Having a new work schedule is a relief. Now I can savor up to 10 hours of sleep a day.

Now I'm spreading the love to: funkie mommy, eds, mace, sweetipie, chubby, haze, vien, luchi, Jazzy and Jeff.

A TIME FOR HIM

Summertime is here once again. I'm pretty sure that we're all heading to our favorite summer getaway this week. Sometimes I'm a bit guilty coz this is supposed to be a time for HIM though we're going on a Visita Iglesia this Thursday and we might go swimming come Saturday. That sort of setup works in our family, we never set out for a vacation within Holy Week.

I understand that in most occasion people grab this chance to give themselves a treat and once and for all to escape the daily grind but hopefully we will not take for granted the real essence of this holiday.

My blog will be observing Lenten Season too. I'll be silent for the rest of the week This is the only thing I could sacrifice ^^. See yeah all next week!

I miss half of my life when I nod off while watching Binibing Pilipinas last Saturday. Having in mind that the most crucial part is just knowing the THREE PRINCESSES, i just shrugged my shoulder coz i'm pretty much sure that it will hit the airtime the next day. And there was born a controversy. But she's lovely.....

WEIGHING THINGS UP

I have a feeling that my boss has been thinking that sooner or later I'll desert the company, I can tell it in his eyes. Last Friday, I was 30 mins late for work and everyone just got panicked according to my colleague since it's really off-the-wall [coz frankly I was never late and never been absent from work]. They gave me a buzz numerous times but to no avail coz I intentionally left my cellphone at home. There eyes were all set to me when I stepped in the office. I told them that I was stuck in the MRT and that they were not allowing people to get inside since throngs of people are already in. That day I came across with another domino effect again (as it always happens). It seems as though my boss was a little skeptical and asked me if i do have any other problem aside from what i've recounted. I honestly replied "no" which I have a hunch that he doesn't believe me because of the quizzical look he gave me [like he's trying to decode what's at the back of my mind]. Probably he's musing that I was from an interview and was running out of time to catch the 2 PM shift. Now I am thinking twice if i'm still going to pursue a leave of absence this coming Friday to attend my cousin's graduation as it will only add up to his theory.

I don't frequently talk on the phone. I prefer sending message except for emergency cases that requires quick response.

I always take the MRT to work. There are RED CROSS volunteers abound in there. So sometimes I just drop a penny. Although I would love to help them by giving not just a penny, sadly it's all I can spare.

I can eat adobo for the whole one month.

So far I haven't had flu this year. Just my cousin.

WHAT'S IN A NAME

There's no denying that the name ANNE or ANN has spread all over the world. If not the most common name, it's definitely one of the most common names. As a child, I went through the hassle of correcting my teachers in the class and my classmates as well [Ma'am it's BARBRA ANN not BARBARA ANN]. And children can be very naughty at times that they call me BARA or even bugged me by saying ang babae sa BAR walang BRA. Everyone seems to have unsolicited comments on my name [Why Barbra? I think it's way better if it's BARBARA ANN] OR [WOW! you're name is really unique but it sounds good if it has no ANN in it].I'm dog-tired of this sickening situation that drags me to a point of coming out with a preference of letting people call me by surname-basis. I couldn't catch the point why people find it tough to get my name right. The same story goes until today. When I head on to money-transfer offices, they often made a mistake by inputting BARBARA ANN. Now, i just simply say ANN, to make a long name short.

KUDOS to the Lady Falcons of FEU for winning the UAAP Volleyball. I been following the game faithfully, I was rooting for the Lady Tigers of UST, too bad they didn't make it to the finals. But they put up a great fight, they definitely ignited the floor and awed the people with their powerful spikes.

It's gonna be Monday again, the calendar page was set to March. Two months had passed by. Time is so dreadful. Got a news today that has breath life to my career worries. Got to tell yah bout it when it's confirm. For now i'm keeping my fingers crossed. Though i'm not superstitious, i cling to my horoscope that this year will be likable.
